Meaningful Work. Unforgettable Experiences.

Serving the homeless in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and North Eastern Wisconsin since 2012.  We fight against homelessness and win!

We are an 88 bed emergency shelter that housed 299 people in 2016 (total of 11,088 bed nights).  We served more than 60,000 meals and distributed over 90,000 pounds of food.

Breaking it down, in 2016 we sheltered:

142 Men

81 Women

11 Seniors over the age of 60

20 Veterans

and 1 service dog

The average length of stay at our mission is under 2 months.  Everyday at the mission residents are assigned chores and everyone pitches in to keep the mission clean and safe.

We help everyone regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation.  It is our mission to not only shelter the homeless but to help them transition to a better life.  Helping them find whatever they need for advancing and achieving their goals of independence and security.  Beyond shelter, safety and sustenance, we help secure jobs, identification, counseling, medical treatment, affordable housing, and transportation where the need exists.  We even assist residents in reaching educational and training goals that will help them succeed.

It costs us $10 per day to feed just one homeless person and $50 per day to feed the average homeless family.
